A new clinical case - Innovation in surgery
The patient presents a corneal perforation secondary to Exposure Keratopathy, as a postanesthetic complication of cardiac surgery. It is the patient only eye.
The corneal hole was closed with a scleral rectangular fragment (free) at the corneal endothelial surface, encarcerated in limbus, and the anterior chamber was tamponated with C3F8 gas. The final visual acuity is 3 L 20/70 through ectopic pupil performed with Yag laser.
