For the patient: benefits and risks of cataract surgery
When the natural lens inside the human eye – crystalline - loses transparency, the quality of vision decreases and, if no intervention is made, it can even lead to curable blindness. This is having cataracts. Colors fade and vision is blurred. These are the complaints. The solution is always surgical and results in benefits but the intervention is not risk free.
